Simplicity in life....
Welcome to my newest blog. I have many passions in life. Espresso, coffee, jazz and life! My so called hobbies reflect that passion. In the past 10 years I have discovered that the things that are most important to me and give me the greatest joy and fulfillment are simple things - soapmaking, jewelry, weaving and now photography. I've come full circle in many ways. When I was in high school I loved photography and joined a camera club. Learned to develop my own film, do touchups and other photography things.
Left my hometown to venture into the world and the hobby went to the wayside. Life detracted me from what I call my passions. Now that I'm in my senior years and the encouragement of a photographer friend, I've come back to that first passion - photography.
And, like the quest I'm on for simplicity in life - my photos reflect that. Nothing spectacular. Nothing that makes a bold social statement. Simplicity. Perhaps at times with a bit of melancholy.
